If I want to eat supermarket seafood, I will buy it at the supermarket for €10 (and likely get better results) rather than paying €50 to have the same food served to me at a restaurant. The fish carpaccio here clearly came straight out of a plastic package and the fried fish platter out of the freezer (where it had clearly spent enough time to acquire a distinctly freezer-imbued taste). Needless to say our experience at Osteria al Duomo was disappointing and we will not be returning.
